Moringa Miracle Tree

Recently read some information about Moringa a.k.a. soanjna tree on birdsplanet.com forum in which a user has shared some facts about this miracle tree and its benefits for birds, cattle and humans. I knew that in punjab, buds of these trees are used as vegetable but astonished to see the nutritional value of this tree i.e.
3 times more iron than in spinach
7 times more vitamin C than in oranges
4 times more vitamin A than in carrots
4 times more calcium than in milk
3 times more potassium than in bananas
as much protein as in eggs
Prof. Dr. Shahzad Basra is leading a NPO "Moringa For Life" for this purpose.

The story about the tree wass very intriguing. The seeds can clean dirty water, probably by coagulation, is even more amazing. However, the only drawback of this tree is that it has a very weak wood/ trunk. We had a old Moringa tree and during one rainy season, the main branch fell off which could have hurt badly if someone was close by. Even if someone plans to grow it, grow it away from the property.

I am really surprised to know about this tree. There are a couple of them in our neighborhood and no one seems to know about their benefits except wild parrots which regularly visit them and feed on there legumes

Moringa is called the Miracle Tree for it good properties. Moringa is a tropical tree with a long and impressive list of uses, properties, and benefits. It contains top quantities of vitamins and minerals, and produces first class cosmetic oil.

Moringa contain natural herbs. Nature has given us everything we need to heal our bodies and stay strong. We don't need to go to a doctor and get man-made prescriptions that do nothing to actually cure disease.
