Voice of the majority must be respected, otherwise there is no use of these polls. We can only speculate what the silent readers are thinking and only way to know that is through the poll.

There is a feature in this forum to see which user voted for which option. It will help tp check those who voted multiple times.

My personal feeling as I have outlined before is the poll has already been personalised and as such it is unfair on the individual members who precipitated this action. secondly it is not unbiased as the very questions asked are (unintentionally im sure) somewhat "leading" questions influencing voter selection.

I would not compromise my integrity and I don't have multiple identities nor am I suggesting any of our active members have either

All of this though is secondary the risk is that the forum could also one day end up being heavily commercialised due to "member" choice as an established precedent has already been set.

Thank you for informing me but the basics of what I wanted to say have already been said, seeing as the poll has already been started I wish you the best of success with it but personally I would like to see it continue as it is with moderation for inflammatory, bigoted and abusive remarks.

Minor inconsequential posts shouldn't influence major changes as we have the formula fairly accurate and most of our active members/moderators/founders are already mature and intelligent enough to show self restraint.

Your input is valuable. i just wanted to say that we do not over rely on the polls. It is the collective wisdom of the admins (there are more than 5 i believe) plus the input of active members (some members do not wish to reveal their opinions openly) which decides what to do. I am sure things will improve regarding non-gardening section.

Is it really affecting the gardeners so much that we have to have a poll to remove it? Let it lie there. What's the issue?
