Imp addition in Profile "Gardening Interests" Update Plz

Guys i wanted that whatever special interests in Gardening a member has should be displayed on his profile (both detailed profile & small profile which appears on left side with your name when you make a post).....This will help us know which member has what specific interests/expertise in which plant types.
This can be in form of Icons such as Bulbs, Annuals, Cacti or fragrant Plants and so on or text. Right now i am trying to workout how to integrate these icons till than i have made available the text box option which will appear/displayed in your profile.
In this field you can write you interests in gardening as explained above. I am also giving a sample below. This field will be mandatory for new user whereas existing users can go to User Control Panel----Profile( In the bottom of the page you will find this field)...You can write your Gardening interests there and they will appear with your name wherever.
