That would be perfect. The flip open cover should be of clear plastic...it will help to get more light inside the cold frame.

These recommendations are for Karachi also? Because I have also sowed some seeds of Datura and they have sprouted.

Karachi has a milder climate, but it would be better not to take chance...shelter should be provided once cold weather sets in.

Assalam o Alaekum @ Tahir Bhai and @Farhan Bhai
To be honest , i never had any interest in gardening (I am a software engineer :D ) but as i was free these days, i realized that your garden/lawn can be your good companion :) . Now i am working in my lawn and planning to grow Bermuda grass. Meanwhile i would love to receive some seeds which you think would be good for my weather( Abbottabad) and would increase my interest in gardening.
How can i give back seeds to seed bank ?

Jazak kal Allah

Welcome, Humble person :)
Good to know that you have started taking interest in a healthy hobby. i would recommend that you go for perennials that do well in cold environments for starters, fall sowing season has just started and you can sow seeds of Marigolds, petunias, pansies and many other if you are willing to put the effort :)

Gul-e-Nargis or Daffodils will do good in your climate i can send some if you like (They will be a mix of small and large sized bulbs)..for seeds you can start cold hardy annuals which i can send you upon request from the seed list.

I can send you the bulbs but cannot guarantee blooms in spring as they have repeatedly ceased to bloom in my Rawalpindi climate, i have chilled the bulbs in fridge in hope to induce a bloom bud in the bulbs. if this method is successful you may get blooms. :) PM me your address.
