Dear could someone help me with the following,What is the exact month/time to sow them.
1)Salvia Coccinea
2)African Daisy
3)Egg Plant
4)Dhalia
5)Datura
6)Helichrysm
Do we somewhere on forum have a sowing calender for different fllowers?

except egg plant all can be sowed in first week of October.egg plant in february.

sorry datura is also sown in February although can be sown now but will be difficult to save in winter.

I sowed 3 Datura seeds 7 days ago and Till now 2 of them have germinated and expecting third one to germinate also.

Datura and eggplant should be sown in late February, and the rest in mid October.

Hamab bhai, Datura can be saved if it is placed in a sheltered place. But it is better to sow seeds in late February.

What sort of shelter/protection do you recommend? Indoors? Frost free or green house?
Is it the cold which kills it or frost?

A clear plastic sheet will do the job...i don't recommend greenhouse cloth as it will block a lot of light and in winter you are already getting half the sunshine.
The frost will kill the plants not the cold.

Thankyou. I asked because i have started datura and plan to do so with some other similar plants. I think i should make a small area bounded by green sheet from two sides and a flip opening in front(south facing) sort of a cold frame
