Hi everyone

My name is Mushtaq

I am from Hartlepool, England, UK.I will be visiting family next year in Dadyal azad Kashmir, could some one tell me what usda zone it is.

I love growing banana plants in UK, in my greenhouse. I have 40 varieties.
Summers in UK are to cool for them to thrive and winters are to cold and wet. I will be taken some of my varieties with me next year, i am thinking that they will all thrive in Dadyal,Pakistan.Cultivars that I will be taken are

MUSA AE AE ] rare Banana which has two tone green and two tone white markings on leaves, edible variety

MUSA KRU ] strawberry flavoured bananas, plant has red trunk

MUSA RED IHOLENA ] fruit is very sweet, plant has red on trunk, leaves are bronze underneath

MUSA ICE CREAM ] fruit skin is bluish colour then turns cannery yellow when ripe, supposedly has vanilla taste

MUSA DWARF RED ] fruit skin is red, flesh is orange when peeled very sweet

MUSA PRAYING HANDS ] fruit looks like two hands are praying, fruit is very sweet

MUSA THOUSAND FINGERS ] flower on this keeps growing until it reaches the floor with more than a thousand little bananas on bloom stalk, fruit sweet

MUSA MONKEY FINGERS ] bananas unripe look like monkey fingers hence the name, fruit has acid sweet taste

MUSA MANZANO ] apple flavoured banana

MUSA DWARF CAVENDISH ] a common banana found around the world, taste, very sweet bananas

If anyone has grown these cultivars in Dadyal or other parts of Pakistan could you let me know your experience

Regards

Mushtaq

Hi there, Im looking for a banana variety called 'Blue Java' or 'Ice cream' banana. Do you know where I would be able to get a plant from?
Many Thanks
