First of all, a hearty thanks to administrators for managing this site. I live in Mansehra at the base of Himalayas. Am not that new in gardening, had a knack for it from childhood but when i got interested in honey bees, my gardening also kicked in a couple of weeks ago when i saw bees on Gul-e-Khaira in home. Now i want to have a garden full of flowers before getting honey bees. Have about 100 kanals of forest land from inheritance (actually my Father is alive, AL-humdo-Lillah). Lots and Lots of space for fruit trees and flowers along field edges. Hope i will be able to achieve it with the help of other hobbyists.

Occasional snowfall but a lot of frosty nights here. Landscape is beautiful. Once i spent six months in Karachi and when i got back, Entering abbottabad gave me a view i cant forget. Normally we are blind to our landscapes as its our daily routine to see them.

Welcome sir.I wanna meet you on my trip to Naran Kaghan this month.I've always wished that I know someone in colder region where I can plant so many of plants that I am crazy about and see them growing occasionally.I had seedling of most rare dogwood tree Prunus urbiniana that died in summer heat. There is an endless list of plants that I want to grow but my climate doesn't permit me.I imported kiwis and blueberry plants.Blueberry died but kiwis are doing well. You can grow lots of kiwi vines there. Will send you kiwi fruit from here. You can sow it's seeds and get as many plants as you can. These kiwis won't be self fertile as that of mine but you have enough place to plant many. Some of them will be male and others will be female.A kiwi fruit vine produces 90-100 lb fruit/year.

You are so lucky to have this much of land and an ideal climate.Plant lots of magnolias, dogwoods, hydrangeas, Viburnum Opulus, blueberries etc.

Congratulations! What is your field? Hope you return back with productive knowledge for our country. I also do virtual gardening by telling my mother how to look after the plants and trees :-)
