This is a relatively common plant (hence the picture is being given only of identification and cataloguing purposes). The only interesting thing is that Cyperus can grow in wet soil (not water logged) and provides greenery in that area. It is a very robust plant.

Isn't it also known as water palm, indicating greater tolerance for water?
