I have been growing Hippeastrum from seeds, it has already been three years and none of them bloomed, so i thought enough is enough... no more Mr. Nice Guy... i took them out in December last year and cut their leaves... dried them in shade and put them in my basement... now two months have passed and now i am planting these in pots... wish me luck for blooms:

You can see, some smaller bulbs have grown leaves in complete darkness....

Izhar Bhai this fall I have grown Hippeastrum from seeds provided by Arif sb. Your Hippeastrum, if they do not flowers will be discouraging for me also...

I got some seeds last year from my own bulbs. Many sprouted and many didn't. I guess I have another 2 years to wait to see what I hybridized!

Growing amaryllis from seeds is a game of patience and love for the plant.
