Hi,
I bought Rose seeds from China. I was reading on internet for how to bow those seeds. I found out that I need to keep the seeds in refrigerator for a month in a mixture of sand, soil and peat moss mixture.
What exactly is peat moss?
Has anyone tried growing roses from seeds? Any advice will be appreciated.
thanks!

I hope they are real rose seeds rather than pieces of fine coloured gravel. There was a scam lately people were willing to buy blue rose seeds on the web.
Anyways, rose are pretty difficult to grow from seeds (I think lot of expertise/care is required). As far as I know there is no equivalent word for peat moss in Urdu.

They take around five years at least to reach the stage of flowering and even then the result are not guaranteed, as they may have hybridized, more often than not they are downright ugly, weak or no different from the parent plant.
Best to propagate them form cuttings or grafting where the results can be predicted and the plants grown fairly quickly.
If you wish to discover a new super variety best of luck to you with your hobby but bear in mind that with the popularity of roses and rose breeders around the world most hybrids have already been tried and the best selected.
