Re: New to roses and gardening!
Garden shops are usually expensive in my experience, always ask and shop around, go to any good pesticide/fertilizer store near you and ask for Bayer Confidor (soluble concentrate containing imidacloprid), Its quite famous and easily available, label recommendation is 2.5 ml in 1 liter of water for spray, so for safe side use half of it and see results. Ex. for 5 liter use 6 ml.
Also always check Mfg and Exp dates before buying and insist on fresh stock.

I went to 2 nearby shops but couldn't find Imidacloprid or Bayer. So wrote names of both of these pesticides on a paper and gave it to someone who lives near subzi mandi and today he got back with some other insecticide named Martel. Though the box does mentions it's for aphids and thrips.AlAmmar wrote:Garden shops are usually expensive in my experience, always ask and shop around, go to any good pesticide/fertilizer store near you and ask for Bayer Confidor (soluble concentrate containing imidacloprid), Its quite famous and easily available, label recommendation is 2.5 ml in 1 liter of water for spray, so for safe side use half of it and see results. I don't know whether to use it or not. Can't even return it as the gardener has already opened it's packaging!

Re: New to roses and gardening!
Nope. I had also asked them via fb messenger for imidacloprid but also went there to get Bayer but they didn't had it.Izhar wrote:They both have Imidacloprid...
They were showing some organic pesticides that were too costly!
The one at bukhari couldn't even understand imidacloprid or Bayer. He just kept on asking 'konsa keera laga ha' and I had no idea what do we call thrips or mites in urdu.
