Dear gardeners,
A few days ago i received a tiny order of strawberry runners. this is my second attempt at growing strawberries in Karachi. the last time, the runners were stuck in transit and were dead by the time they arrived. so my question is, do they strawberries remain perennial in Karachi weather, or are they treated as annuals????

They will remain barely alive during summers if kept under bright shade and good draining medium..

Mr Izhar saying right, Strawberries will survive for next year best way to save from Hot Weather of June and Humid atmosphere of July and away from heaving rains.

As far as "Direct Sunlight", you needs 2 to 3 hours for Strawberries, quite accommodate for living in Karachi atmosphere.

I changed the soil of the surrounding roots of the strawberry only to find out that it had been destroyed. Strawberry plants are available in many nurseries, due to shortage of water in Clifton/DHA almost all nurseries use sewage water... you can buy plants from Shaheed-e-millat road nurseries...
2-3 hours direct sunlight is not enough... they require 6 hours direct sunlight...
