Just for the sake of curiosity of the children, let it grow for few months...otherwise imli, as you may know, is a huge...huge tree!

Arif Sb
It takes three to four years to fruit. May be even less than that as i recall seeing a hardly ten feet tree fruiting.

My sweet Imli tree, was sown in 2009 is growing well,is more than 15 feet high, if it fruits in another 2-3 years I would be happy but I do not think so.

Arif sb, your Imli tree is still very young. I have only seen mature trees (with wide trunks) that bear fruits.

I bought recently a grafted sweet tamarind plant and I was informed that it would take this grafted plant atleast 3-4 years to bear fruit.
