watering vegetables

Assalamoalaikum,
I have a question about watering vegetables, I have chilli pepper, eggplant, pumpkin and cucumber in pots and in garden. How often should I water these plants they are still in seedling stage and some have 2,4 true leaves
Can someone provide a general guideline on watering vegetables keeping in mind the temperature in lahore these days as well throughout summer.
Currently I am watering them every other day but I am concerned about killing them by over watering
