Dear Sameer,
We are more or less in similar conditions as USDA zone 11b. Humidity in Karachi is overall high compared to other parts of our country, I dont think that moisture from the water source nearby creates a marked impact on you plants..
Flowers you can grow now include:
1) Zinnia
2) Vinca
3) Balsam
4) Sunflower
5) Celosia
6) Amaranthus
7) Sulfur cosmos
8) Portulaca
9) Gaillardia
Vegetables you can grow include:
1) Cucumber
2) Chilies
3) Tomatoes
4) Okra
5) Melons
6) Beans
7) Spinach
You just have to use a simple mix of Balu mitti and ojhri ki khaad in 70:30 ratio, donot use gober ki khaad.. the difference is that the ojhri ki khaad is darker and has little or no smell.. in pots you will require watering twice daily.. mealy bugs and spider mites are major pests, keep your plants clean and give them a spray of soap solution in 15 days (1 tea spn liquid soap in 1 liter of water)

you could grow alot of stuff in pots .. cilantro , lettuce, broccoli , mint, basil ... the list is long . you will however have to plant according to season , every vegetable has a different growing season - good luck !
