Suggestions for plants near/inside waterbodies

Salaam,
I am looking for suggestions for plants around an artificial fountain. It's in karachi, so it's quite hot n humid. Plus the area around fountain gets good morning sunlight.
It's a large rectangular pond approx 6ft x 15ft with a 8 inch border around it. I am looking for something that's under 18-24 inches.
Would appreciate any advice / help
