suitable plant for a container

Hi all,

I need suggestions for a suitable vine/shrub to be planted in an 18 inch pot. The location is such that it gets little morning sunshine but gets plenty of afternoon sunlight. I failed miserably with wild alamanda last year as the flower buds shriveled before blooming.

Your expert opinions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks...
Arq

If you are interested in flowering vines then go for the very hardy bougainvillea. There are imported ones available at the nurseries located at "Peshawar more".

Hi zeeshan,

Thanks for your feedback. I already have a Bougainville in a container but want to try something different and fragrant. Any suggestions?

Try Brunfelsia or commonly called Yesterday tomorrow and today plant, it is fragrant with three colours of blooms on single plant... will do good in containers

What do you think of chandni? Will it grow well in a container and the sunlight conditions mentioned above? I like the variegated variety.

Will grow provided you give it a good sized container and partial shade as container soil dries up very quickly.
