Lagerstomia is in real full bloom these days, in bright colours one better than the other.Curious to know the colour range,found four on ground,but could not find the fifth one-red, whose picture has already appeared in this forum,recently.The images of three others have also appeared already,but the new colour not there earlier is White,for whom I ve a special liking. The four pictures taken are as under:

Lagerstroemia is my favourite too. Pure purple flower is our local Lagerstroemia indica meaning "from India ". White is relatively rare but it looks elegant!

White is beautiful. I saw it blooming on a public street and it looked awesome. Red is rare in Lahore but Plant Nursery in Model Town might have one variety. I obtained three red varieties but from overseas.

Its my favorite too.it flowers under such conditions that no one can think of flowers.

Munir sb there is also another color slightly different than the purple in your picture.

I ll call them as:
.. Bottom Left : Light Pink
.. Bottom Right : Purple
.. Top Left : Dark Pink or Reddish Pink, but not sure
.. Top Right : White

once Hamad AK posted his Red Largerstromia, I think Red is now available in the market.

Yes red might be available at Plant Nursery or from Adnan. I think first red lagerstroemia was hybridized in 2002. There are several varieties now in different sizes. Before long this color too will be seen everywhere in Pakistan since the plant does so well here. When red is common I'm sure I will enjoy the dark purple more which is my favorite color.

Dr sb even if the red is rear & Double purple is common.my favorite is the dark purple.

yes red color is available in Lahore from adnan he has two varieties.i got my plant from him.
