AOA,
I am fairly new at gardening and a few months back i decided to have a container kitchen garden plus a few flowers in my patio. But i went for growing from seeds as i wanted to have everything done from scratch. Thanks to the experienced gardeners in this forum i was able to plant seeds of a few of the plants i wanted for my garden and was able to germinate them and for a few i was very unsuccuessful. I have now shifted the plants from thier nursery pots to the more permanent pots and as i had read on the seed packets that for some of the plants such as Celosia (flower), Balsam (flower), okra, and cherry tomatoes should be sown at some distances (prefferably 12 inches apart). Therefore i put one plant in one single pot. But they dont look much. Do you think that they will grow up and be big and healthy as seen in the pics uploaded by other members and in the garden centers and nurseries. I am unable to upload the pictures even using the photobucket. please help me with that. Waiting for your advice on the subject.

use one single pot to put all seeds of one type in it, after they grow transplant them to bigger pots.Like panerees available in Nurseries but Veggies are an exception.

Three things to watch out once planting seeds to avoid failure
Plant them at their correct time/season or more precisely correct temperatures.
Do not sow them too deep. Just about the depth equal to their size. If you are not sure surface sow and cover very lightly.
Your media should be fungus free, avoid over-watering to minimize damping off issues.

3. Paste inside the Image
Remember the second img tag is with "/" ... [/img] .. this should appear automatically when you click img tab.
