They were calling it Allamanda but I doubt
because in my knowledge Allamanda is only in yellow.................

I guess you are right in the sense that it is not Allamanda in its true sense. Note the sepals are different for each, one has rounded and the other one pointed. Allamanda and Mandevilla are available in a variety of colours, I had light pink version of Mandevillla, none of them survived in Karachi. Lets see how well this variety does.
