Kinldy if anybody can identify these two plants,

1. Seedling from a bean type seed. Seed shell is also in the pot, this is only 2 days old seedling.
2. Plant came out from a large tuber, i purchased as Dahlia tuber but it doesn't seems like Dahlia.

1) The first looked pine seedling to me by intuition as I have never encountered such a seedling. However the absence of dicotyledons (two leaves that emerge from a seed) confirms that it is a monocotyledon (a huge plant division to which pines belong). I shared your question in another botanical forum and the answer was pine seedling. A picture of seeds will confim the hypothesis.

2) Second one has been suggested as Clivia . BTW your plant looked thirsty as the soil is bone dry!

For difficult identifications I usually resort to University of British Columbia's Botanical Forum. I suggest interested readers to register there for occassional difficult taxonomic questions.

getting cilvia by mistake is a big find

Dear Farooq,

I dont think it is Clivia as my Clivia plant roots are different,also this unknown plant has hard leaves and Clivia is softer, this is bearing full sun whereas Clivia can burn easily under sun. I will share the tuber photo also.

My all bulbuous plants are on the dry side , i never give them water until 15 days even more, they are happy to be like this , it is natural for them.

Can you also show the pine seeds, because you mentioned "beans" like seeds?

Its a common plant and available almost in all Pakistani nurseries.

It seems that the plant no.2 and tubers do not match. Becauce the tubers look like Dahlia tubers, and plant no. 2 seems to be growing from a bulb. Is it possible that the tubers never grew and this plant came from a remaining bulb from an old pot.

Kaleem shb, this is neither Phormax nor Chlorophytum because of the growth pattern. The leaves of Adnan's plant are growing in one plane, with sort of a mirror image symmetry (like a letter V) and the leaves are leathery.
