Some of my pots have turned mossy green. Other pots just beside it are ok. Obviously it indicates that there is drainage issue in those pots. Would adding sand be a solution or do we need to change the soil also. Not sure what the composition of these mossy pots are but most likely it is clay as it cracks during summer time

Would adding manure to lawn also help. The lawn is exhibiting signs of moss where there is more shade

yes.. it will help in promoting soil fauna which will eliminate the moss... it also improve drainage...
