Watering and fertilisation

I have a small garden with around 50 pots of different size and different plants. Having acquired moisture meter decided to water and fertilise more accurately. The whole process took several hours, people with bigger gardens must spend much longer duration for their watering. surely there must be some easier method, especially in summer when watering requirment increases a lot
