areeca, dioon and monstera in shade

Hi,
I have been trying to grow areeca palm, dioon palm, and monstera deliciosa variegata in a north west opening terrace of my house, for some reason they dont survive. The terrace doesnt get any direct light in Winter and around 2-5 hours of afternoon/evening sunlight in summer. I water them around twice a week, and use generic npk/foliar fertilizer once every 2 months. I am using big pots, so space isnt an issue. What might be the problem here?
