Not all Sir, I have observed many annuals, succulents and xerophytes growing better in pots...

One difference is that temperature fluctuation affects the plants in pots more than the ones in ground. Also, in my experience, drought has less affects on ground plants than pots. On the other side, plants which like root bound to flower well are not suitable for ground, many bulbs fall into this category.

You agree they do better in ground except those which flower well when root bound and what precisely are those?
All ever green bulbs perform better in ground, those which have dormant period are better
managed in pots.

Because of following reasons:
1) Low temperature fluctuation
2) Low moisture level fluctuation
3) Plenty of space for the roots to grow
4) More nutrition as compared to pot
