Iceland poppy, height 8-14 inches
Peony poppy, height 12-36 inches

How about our indigenous poppy variety used for cultivation of heroin. Seeds are easily available in our tribal areas at fraction of a cost and flowers are extremely pretty.

Peony poppy is the double of the same.

I recall a specific criminal offence of cultivating the opium poppy (Papaver Somniferum L or the straw of any other Papaver variety) under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (XXV of 1997) If it is still on the statute books then be aware its only permissible under licence and its punishable by fine and/or imprisonment of upto 7 years.
