AOA, You can grow any plant anywhere provided you have the resources and time.
It is very simple; PROVIDE THE PLANT ITS NATURAL ENVIRONMENT and that is all.
And if you can’t do that then learn the hard way, what you can grow in the environment that you can provide and limit your choice of plants accordingly for happy gardening.
PS, Doing what cant be done has its own pleasure.

All my roses in pots are either dead or on death bed.
It is not bothering me as roses are not on my grow list any more.

Every living thing is designed to perform best in certain parameters of environment. Plants through millenniums of development have also specialised to perform best in specific environment and thus localised in certain areas. The humans through ages have shifted them to meet their own nutritional and esthetic requirement and are still doing it at a much faster rate.
The climatic conditions of Islamabad are quite different as of Multan and Lahore. Pomegranate orchards are all around Multan and non around Lahore.
Even in Lahore climate north of river is different from the south of the river.
Wishing all Happy gardening and no head ache gardening.

In continuation to above....
Roses perform better when they have a dormant period (temperatures dropping around zero C) for it benefits by over coming pest, pruning, hence fresh growth. Islamabad and regions above does have well defined winters, which is followed by gradual build up of temperatures(mild) which are suitable for roses as contrast to south which has a very short spring(not a true spring period). Bloom count is proportional to age which is possible through this elongated favorable period, and in subsequent years also. whereas bloom size is also effected by this colder spring.
