Assalam o Alekum

Could anyone clarify me "Dianthus", "pink" and "sweet william" are different names of the same plant or they are the different flowering plants? Plz

WAS.dianthus is genus name and sweet william,carnation,pink are species and common names.for further details visit these links from plant database.
