65 WAR

My father had expired and my mother was alone in her Gulberg home, during the 65 War. ladies of neighbourhood would visit her to get update. A lady asked her aren’t you planning to move to the interior, she replied” why should I, all of my sons are out fighting for me, I don’t have to move, as long as they are alive and who cares if they get Shahadat defending me.
Two of us three, my elder brother then Maj. Asaf Hussain Khan and my younger brother then, Flt. Lt. Amjad Hussain Khan were awarded Sittara a Jurrat .
We survived to fight another war in 71, Allah is great.

On this defence day we must not forget our unsung heroes, our covert soldiers, the pigeons. Their sacrifices must not go unnoticed and we also must salute our pigeon still in Indian Jail :)

For our valiant soldiers.

For their tomorrow, we gave our today."

an epitaph in the War Cemetery in Kohima which commemorates the fallen of the Battle of Kohima in 1944.

Thank you ALL For your love and regards for your soldiers.
But people currently in power consider us as Mercenaries.
