I have been forced for couple of months to discard the unwanted creatures from the pot but now listening to the news that these worms are beneficial in many ways since then it is not unwanted perhaps. Every time I buy the manure these creatures are in it and graudually raise there population in pots.

Beneficial for soil beds but NOT for pots.

Beware, it may not be raw,as fully rotten(?)/fit maure is generally free of such worms in big numbers.

I think it's difficult to get well rotted manure ie minimum 6 months old and preferably 2 years old. Just can't trust the source. In pots I would definitely avoid manure due to the intense heat throughout summer. Compost is a better option.

I too have heard worms in pots are a bad thing. I see Brig Saheb using the wire mesh on the holes of his pots and I think I should be doing that too.
