AOA dear gardeners, i'm new to gardening and have started couple of month back. I have noticed white pests (pic attached) on plant leaves base. Can someone please help me identify these and get rid off? Also please suggest any easily available pesticide & fertilizer. Jazzak Allah

These are mealy bugs and you can use any available pesticide for plants...

Thank you Izhar for your prompt response. Can we use any home made pesticide? Someone asked me to spray mist of kerosene oil and water, or add some amount of salt in soil. I was looking for any pesticide shop but could not locate any nearby.

There are lots of shops near old sabzi mandi, new sabzi mandi, empress market, DHA... where do you reside??

The kerosene oil and water formula works only on mosquitoes and flies... for these pests you must get plant pesticide...

None works for them, soap and starch mixture is better

Indeed these are mealy bugs and I do use following pesticide in image for many years and I do get rid of them on single spray of the said insecticide.
Even after expiry I am using the same insecticide with success. Now I use 5 ml into 500 ml of water and I never have any issue with my plants
It kill mealy bugs in single spray and Amphids on two / three sprays.
You can buy this from shops opposite to old subzi mandi and it cost me Rs. 100/- at t that time
