there are seeds called " shades of pink" that suttons sell, i have sowed them they look really good and make excellent cut flowers.

in my years of growing, i have only used vercumlite and perlite once, i stopped using it as i found it just a extra expense, as my seeds germinated anyway in regular multi compost. so i stopped using it and still get great germioantion rates.. if you do get yourself some lights, try getting the one with the highest wattage even if you buy it second hand thats cool as well, just get some new bulbs for them and you're ready :) get your self a timer too so this way you wont need to manually do any switching OFF or ON, in my experience its be...
