I made an account on this after spending some time on the FB group because that was mostly just pictures of pretty flowers. I've tried 3 so far; the desi paki variety which disappears or turns brown in the winter. Dhaka grass, which fairs reasonably well, and Korean grass which is best in shade.
I don't know what the real names are, but korean grass is your best friend.

They're probably not available here. I got some seeds once from India, but lost them a few months after germination. Its not an easy tree to grow - its a root parasite so it needs a compatible tree next to it to tap into. I'm hoping to get new seeds in May, if anything germinates I'd be happy to sha...
