Lachenalia Viridilflora sourced from South Africa has finally unfurled its striking turquoise blooms after a wait of almost 21 months. An extremely rare bulb it is found in South Africa or Namibia only and was discovered in South Africa in the mid 1960's. Current status lists it as a critically endangered bulb variety.

Beautiful and unique plant. But replace its container with a bigger one of same circumference from top to bottom and potting mixture needs your attention too, after all care hope soon it will multiply ; ).

Thank you Kaleem sahib. The link is indeed useful and shall try to propagate through leaf cuttings. I wish that Mr.Heinie was still actively contributing to the forum and surely would have provided useful tips. Perhaps the moderators may have news about his whereabouts.
