Khurram sb i,l try Dutch Iris next year.Do you leave them in the open ground.

Lovely. Which are more suited to our climate Dutch or bearded?

All these bulbs were planted in an open soil bed around 7 years back and they are disturbed only after 3 years when the clump size becomes too large which is then divided after flowering and planted in the same bed.

Lovely. Which are more suited to our climate Dutch or bearded?
Dutch and Louisiana Iris which would include our northern regions and plain areas of Punjab, Quetta etc. However i would not recommend growing them in Karachi as its weather is not suitable for Irises.
I wouldn't recommend Bearded Irises for novices or intermediate gardeners as they are very fussy about their medium and main challenge is ensuring their survival in subsequent years owning to their high tendency to rot if not properly cared for. This year hopefully after 4 years of experimentation they will thrive and survive in the medium prepared 6 months back.

I have four colours in Dutch Irises. Two colours (images posted below) popped up recently.

Dear Khurram
Last Year I will grow Dutch Iris bulbs, after bloom bulbs will not survive. Any tips regarding to survive Dutch Iris bulbs for next season...
