Repotting in winter

Post by Alam64 »

Nearly all the pots i have are filled with clay only. Reading that sand should also be part of the soil planning to repot them. Is it advisable to do so in winter

Qs: since none of my pots have sand in them, planning to repot in spring and use sand for better porosity. Is it ok to add gobar ki khad during this repotting or will it have adverse effects. Plants are mostly palms, monstera etc

Dont add sand in your soil... your soil is fine... just add old manure... mixing sand will further compact it..

Sharp sand or horticultural sand is used for better drainage, not builders sand.
