rain lilies

Post by farhan »

AOA,

I bought rain lilies some 6 months ago, they dont flower much. may be one flower a month. Each pot has around 10 plants. yellow, pink and white.

Secondly, do rain lily seeds grow?

Just to let you know, I live in karachi, it doesnt rain here......usually :D

Give them full sun, they flower at peak in monsoon. They need a dry soil for a while then drench in water. So alternate dry soil and moist soil should encourage blooming.

Yes their seed grow and they flower from seed after around 3 years.

Rainlilies bloom beautifully in a crowded pot.. mine have started blooming... they multiply fast so no need to grow from seeds which may take years..
